908 Devices, a pioneer of purpose-built analytical devices for chemical analysis, today announced it has signed strategic partnership agreements with seven leading distributors across Europe and Australia. This international expansion will bring the company’s flagship product, M908™, to commercial, government and military customers across 18 different countries, with expansion into additional global regions planned throughout 2015.

“Chemical threats are a global problem,” says Dr. Kevin J. Knopp, co-founder and CEO, 908 Devices. “The importance of bringing new chemical detection capabilities to first responders around the globe is imperative.”

M908 is currently being used by state, local, federal and foreign government agencies as well as civilian and military organizations worldwide for CBRNE threat detection and HazMat response. With distribution partners, including Analyticon in Germany, Austria and Switzerland; BLG Ltd. in Turkey; RMI s.r.o. in Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovenia, and Slovakia; HazMatLINK in the UK, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands and Luxembourg; B.M.D Spa in Italy; Hi-Tech Detection Systems in France; and Warsash Scientific across Australia and New Zealand, 908 Devices is able to further expand its reach.

“The demonstrated success of our international strategic partners allows us to bring M908 into new territories with the same user-insight, technical know-how and top-notch product support customers should expect from 908 Devices,” added John Kenneweg, Vice President of Sales, 908 Devices.

Each partner was selected based on demonstrated success serving safety and security customers within their respective territories and their deep understanding of the first responder’s mission.

“Our sole focus is the safety of those on the front lines who are keeping us safe. With more than a decade immersed in the hazardous material and emergency response community, our customers depend on us to seek out and supply the latest in leading-edge technology. We think M908 is just that,” said Kevin Miller, Managing Director, HazMatLINK. “First response teams are eager for this new capability and we are pleased to partner with 908 Devices to launch and support M908 in the UK.”

In addition to partnering with high-caliber distribution partners, the company is also ramping up staff at its Boston-based factory to include an international sales and business management team, as well as new technical support staff to better serve the expanding global customer base. Local product launches are being planned in each region and the company is scheduled to participate in more than 11 international exhibitions this year alone.
