908 Devices, a pioneer of purpose-built analytical devices for chemical analysis, today announced that it has achieved the ISO 9001:2015 certification. This latest edition of ISO 9001 is a recognized and formal quality management system that will be used to scale the Company’s unique product offerings across existing and future markets.
ISO 9001:2015 certification specifies requirements for quality management systems designed to ensure customers consistently receive high-quality products and services. This includes structured and documented procedures for product design, manufacturing and customer support. The focus on effective management systems, continuous product improvement and customer satisfaction are all critical components of 908 Devices’ business.
Following 908 Devices’ Series C funding last year, which totaled $13M, the team is actively developing new products for the Oil & Gas and Life Science markets. With this market expansion, the Company has scaled its manufacturing, commercial and development teams with additional resources. Notably, the team has expanded its Boston headquarters to a total of 18,500 square feet and continues to add headcount in its California technology office. 908 Devices has opened a new research laboratory and demo facility in Carboro, NC to further leverage its partnership with UNC-Chapel Hill and better serve customers with an expanded focus on applications. Internationally, the team has been partnering with domestic and international sales teams to bring the company’s flagship product, M908™, to customers in 19+ different countries across North America, Europe and Australia.
As 908 Devices propels into new markets, and continues to innovate for the Safety & Security industry, commitment to their customers remains a top priority. By achieving this ISO 9001:2015 certification, 908 Devices demonstrates their dedication to current and future customers by continuing to deliver a consistent level of quality across product lines.
“This certification marks an exciting milestone in the progression of our growth,” said Sean Vote, Director of Operations, 908 Devices. “We are expanding all aspects of our business, including production, manufacturing and design.
