We are seeking an entrepreneurial Human Resources (HR) Generalist, to coordinate HR transactions, practices and processes.  Goals for the individual include promoting corporate values and enabling business success through job design, recruitment, performance management, training & development, employment cycle changes, and talent management.  You will also perform duties such as posting job ads, updating our HR database and processing employee’s requests.  If you are passionate, energetic, driven individual looking to help create a nourishing workplace, this position is for you.  The position will enable you to gain HR experience in a fast-paced work environment by supporting and improving all HR functions and provide a bridge for someone looking to grow from a generalist to a manager role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner and facilitate relationship with TriNet, our payroll, benefits and HR provider
  • Maintain employee records (soft copies)
  • Update HR databases (e.g. new hires, separations, vacation and sick leaves)
  • Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures
  • Provide orientations for new employees by sharing onboarding packages and explaining company policies
  • Collaborate with recruiters to post job ads and process incoming resumes
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including candidate pipeline
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal communications
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Work independently on special projects

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of human resources experience
  • BS degree in Human Resources or related field
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Hands on experience with HR software (TriNet preferred)
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • PC literacy and experience with MS Office applications
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Teamwork skills
